The calculation
Monthly hours released = (minutes before − minutes after, including review) × tasks per month ÷ 60 − monthly maintenance hours. Negative values mean the proposed process would require more time under your assumptions.
An illustrative example
For 200 tasks per month, moving from 12 minutes to 5 minutes including review releases about 23.3 hours before maintenance. Subtract 3 hours of monthly maintenance: the estimate becomes 20.3 hours. These are fictional inputs, not an Astramind client result.
Time saved is not cash saved
Released capacity does not necessarily reduce expenditure. A financial assessment also needs build costs, subscriptions, usage charges, support and the value of the work the team can do instead. Measure quality and errors separately.
Validate after the pilot
Use representative cases, including exceptions. Recheck assumptions when task volume, review effort or tools change. Keep the before-and-after measurement consistent and document who supplied the inputs.
